DP World Tour Testing at Hillside Golf Club

In this report we summarise the programme of testing, and scoring for Hillside Golf Club greens pre, during and post play of the DP World Tour Cazoo Classic in July 2022. This included the practice day, Pro Am and all four competitive rounds of the tournament.

Every morning a full, non invasive assessment was carried out on all 18 greens and trending produced to support informed maintenance decisions.

The results specific to player experience were presented in a stand alone report each day, including incoming weather for that days play.

The ProPitch Pro Package
Our Pro Package give two full annual assessments with rating reports, observations and commentary, access to our course passport software on the APP & Portal, self assessment equipment and training, fertiliser plans, risk assessments and a sustainability audit. Emergency support at anytime is also available from the APP function ‘Course Matters’ direct to the ProPitch consultant. We have leading agronomists on hand to support.

Assessment Types
For both inland and links courses we have full Pro Assessments and then Lite Assessments. The Pro Assessments take 45 minutes per green and cover a minimum of 3 indicator greens, and the Lite Assessment takes 15 minutes per green, covering a minimum of 3 indicator greens. Stand alone assessments for Green Speed & Consistency, Infiltration or Firmness are available as well on the APP that are linked live to your own ProPitch portal.

Our unique ProPitch mobile APP, free to download on both the Apple and Google Play store give you full access to your own courses, to carry out assessments, share assessments, message the ProPitch consultant, It is linked live to your own web base portal and you can add as many courses and greenkeepers to your admin account while managing permissions for each course.

ProPitch Test Equipment
We have both ProPitch ‘Pro’ equipment options and ProPitch ‘Lite’ equipment options that allow the respective assessments to be completed on the mobile APP. This kit has been designed by greenkeepers to be efficient and durable as it comes in a hard case for ease of transport. From corers, infiltrations rings, prisms and soil moisture meters to firmness it comes in one case.
